Pumpkin Light Night is a FREE event for the whole family, on October 23. This gathering celebrates the programs, clubs, organizations, and many offerings of the Hot Springs School District. Bouncy houses, pumpkin displays, booths and activities, food trucks (food trucks charge for food), and entertainment fill our Trojan Field. Be part of celebrating HSSD students and the HSSD community at the 4th annual Pumpkin Light Night!

Join us in celebrating our the HSSD community for 2018 Homecoming Week, October 8-12. Find a lineup of daily themes for all HSSD schools. We will also host a districtwide pep rally on 10/11 at Joe Reese Stadium (all students will travel via buses to HSWCHS). Festivities conclude on Friday 10/12 with a Homecoming Court Assembly in the morning and the Crowning Ceremony and Football Game (vs. Magnolia) later that evening. Thank you for being part of honoring our #HSSDTrojans!

6th grade literacy teacher Mrs. Veronica Sanders guides students in Character Analysis projects that challenge them to take an in depth look at main characters in the novel Stargirl. “Character analysis helps them to understand what motivates her actions, and why she experiences different social situations in reaction to her behavior,” says Mrs. Sanders.

East Students Set Guidelines for Service Projects

6th grade EAST students worked this week in Mrs. Rakejah Williams’ class to complete first steps toward identifying service-based projects for the school year. Service-based projects are part of EAST curriculum, and require that students collaborate with individuals or businesses to identify projects that meet needs in the community.

Welcome to Hot Springs Intermediate School! There are many opportunities for HSIS students to take advantage of this school year. While this is a unique year at HSIS as we support the district's upcoming transition to housing Kindergarten through 6th grade students at each of its four elementary schools, we have an outstanding group of educators who are committed to helping your child succeed!
